The exhibition, via physical objects, videos and photos, landscape spaces, manuscripts and documents, mainly displays Mr. Chi Wing Lo’s works in five categories created over the past 30 years, namely architecture, interior, furniture, daily utensils and sculpture.
The exhibition, the first of a Chinese designer in China Design Museum since its inauguration, constitutes a dialogue across time and space between contemporary life design philosophy and the centennial Bauhaus modernism. Mr. Chi Wing Lo’s overarching creation philosophy and practices, against the larger academic background set by the China Academy of Art, reflect the spiritual and cultural pursuits of a contemporary Chinese designer.
The exhibition was unveiled in April, 2019 and lasted two months, during which period of time the Chi Wing Lo design workshop also took place.
